Agency Openings: 

F/T Mentor 2.0 Support Specialist/Educational Liaison  Will be working closely with South Valley Academy ~ BA required; BA in Social Services, Psychology, Sociology or related field preferred. Bilingual Spanish/English preferred. Experience working with teens/families/adults; interviewing and assessing; and relationship development experience required. Classroom experience (esp. with high school-aged students), and the understanding of child development and family dynamics is preferred.  

Enroll youth(mentees) including oversight of the application, screening and matching process. Facilitate high impact relationship between Mentor 2.0 pairs, including; enrollment; monitoring participation; provide individual attention; proactively assist relationships through regular communication, support & advice; and identify pairs who need additional support and implement strategies to improve relationships. Lead weekly Mentor 2.0 class for mentees at participating schools, including a discussion of weekly curriculum. Lead orientations and training for teachers and mentees. 

Breakdown of position; approx 30% classroom instruction(curriculum-based); 10% administrative/event planning; and 60% monitoring & relationship development between teens and adult mentors.  Salary DOE, (+$1K if bilingual [Spanish/English]) ADA/EOE

FT Community Recruitment Coordinator - BA is preferred; 3 to 5-years of successful recruitment, sales, customer service or grassroots campaign experience preferred; Bilingual (Spanish/English) is preferred.  Create and maintain relationships/partnerships with businesses and schools in the community; recruit volunteers to become mentors to children; fundraising; and social media account management.  $29-32K, DOE.  ADA/EOE
