When and where is this year's Bowl for Kids' Sake event?

The 2019 Bowl for Kids' Sake will be held on Saturday, April 27th at the Isleta Fun Connection (11000 Broadway SE, Albuquerque, NM 87105).

How do I register as a Team Captain online?

Click Here to get started. Scroll down and click on the orange REGISTER YOUR OWN TEAM button on the right side of the page. Enter your information. You will be required to select a bowling session in order to complete your registration. You can change your selection later if necessary. Follow the instructions to complete your registration.

After registering your team, a box will appear asking if you wish to join the team as a participant. Click JOIN AS PARTICIPANT. This will create your personal participant profile. Complete your registration and you will be registered as a team, a team captain and as a participant.

How do I invite people to join my team?

From your team profile page, click SHARE on the right side of the page. A dropdown menu will give you options to share via email and social media. You can also click EMBED to show the web page link. From there you can embed a “Donate Now” button to your social media and emails. The source code is on this pop-up screen.

How do I schedule my team’s bowling session?

You will be asked to schedule your bowling session when you create your team profile. If you need to reschedule your bowling session, log in to your TEAM profile and click EDIT on the right side of the page. It will take you through the profile registration process again. When you get to the bowling session page, make your new selection and continue to the end of the process. 

How do I join an existing team?

Click here to get started. Scroll down and click on the orange PARTICIPATE AS AN INDIVIDUAL button on the right side of the page. A screen will appear with the names of the current teams. Choose your team and then follow the registration process.

How do I donate to an existing team?

Click here to get started. Click on the purple DONATE button on the right side of the page. A screen will appear with the names of the current teams. Click on the team you wish to donate to. Choose your donation amount (or enter your own amount) and then click the blue CONTINUE button. Enter your payment information and click the yellow CONTINUE button at the bottom of the page. 

Can I just donate to the event without donating to a team?

Yes. Donate to a team by clicking here.  Scroll down to the campaigns and click on the BFKS Team Campaign. Next, click on the purple DONATE button on the right side of the page. Now, scroll down through the teams and the participants and click on the purple JUST THE CAMPAIGN button at the bottom of the page. Choose your donation amount (or enter your own amount) and then click the blue CONTINUE button. Enter your payment information and click the yellow CONTINUE button at the bottom of the page. 

How do I make an honorary or memorial donation?

To make a gift in honor or memory of someone, please contact Margaret Schumbarger at 505-837-9223 ext 27 or [email protected].

I don't see my donations. What should I do?

Donations may take up to 48 hours to appear on your personal fundraising page. Due to synchronization requirements your donation may initially appear on your page and then temporarily disappear. If your donation is not reflected on your page after 5 days, please email [email protected] or call Amanda Schlindwein at 505-837-9223 x130.

Do we need to personalize the team and participant pages?

People who edit their team profile and the personal fundraising page to talk about why they are raising money for Big Brothers Big Sisters raised a lot more money. It only takes a few minutes to add a picture and a few words. You can also add a video. Call us if you need suggestions on what to say.

I need some quick ideas on how to fundraise. Any suggestions?

How can I see who has donated to me and who has joined my team? 

Donors and teammates will appear automatically on your personal fundraising page. Scroll down and they should appear towards the bottom of the page. You do not need to login to see donors and/or teammates.

Can my donors pay by cash or check? 

Yes. Most bowlers find it easier to keep track of checks. Make sure checks are made payable to BBBS-CNM and that you enter all of these donations on your BFKS Donation Form. Then bring all of the checks, cash and your donation form(s) to the BFKS event on April 27th and we'll credit the money to your personal fundraising goal. You can also drop off your checks, cash and donation form(s) at the BBBS-CNM office (2500 Louisiana Blvd. NE, Albuquerque, NM 87110) and we’ll credit you within 72 hours.

Where does the money raised from Bowl for Kids' Sake go? 

100% of the money raised through Bowl for Kids' Sake stays here in our community. We depend on the money raised from Bowl for Kids' Sake to carry out the work of recruiting volunteers, enrolling children, carefully matching children with caring adult mentors and providing ongoing support to the child, volunteer mentor and child's family. Is my information secure?

Yes. Our database, Giveffect, protects your information using industry-standard SSL encryption techniques to ensure security of credit card information, passwords, and personal information. An encryption engine securely stores data.
